We are hiring an Activities/Therapy Aide, full time with variable hours based on need with some weekends. NEW PAY RATE $17/hour and work today, get paid tomorrow with Daily Pay.

Activities/Therapy Aide Job Description

The Activities/Therapy Aide is a pivotal position for the home. This individual holds primary responsibility for areas of in house and community activities as well as therapies as outlined by Physical and Occupational Therapists. In these areas, the Activities/Therapy Aide should be involved in assessments, planning and implementation of activities and therapy services and supports. Finally, s/he should assist in direct training, some supervision, follow up and coaching with staff, keeping the QMRP informed at all times.

Activities/Therapy Aide Specific Job Duties

  • Respect individual rights and confidentiality. Be a role model, promote positive teamwork and assist w/staff development/training as assigned
  • Offer out of facility activities to all clients, ideally a minimum of 2x per month, Plan and prepare in-house activities daily and “Group Time” for clients who remain at home during the day
  • Complete ROM and therapy programs (ideally 2x per week). Providing necessary training to staff re: completion of ROM and therapy programs. Plan activities which promote activity and wellness
  • Read, know, and implement organizational policies and procedures. Read, know, and implement Individual’s Service Plan. Ensure DSPs Implement and document all individual services and supports as assigned
  • Assist and/or transport individuals for community access/appointments, shopping, fairs/festivals, etc as necessary.
  • Alongside DSPs, assist with and work to strengthen the individuals’ many daily living needs, including nutrition, hygiene, exercise, thearpies, communication, and socialization skills. Ensure DSPS help individuals as needed to bathe, groom, dress, participate in family style dining and other daily living skills, always working to improve self-reliance

Job Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, High School Diploma or GED, Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with no more than 5 points, excellent communication and people skills needed, must be flexible and have good time management skills. On call responsibilities required as well as time spent working the floor as a DSP. Prior DD, Activities and Therapy experience preferred.
