-Description:*
**The Activities Bus driver will provide safe and reliable transportation for students, staff, and community members to various school-related activities. This position maintains positive interpersonal relationships with students, parents, peers, and community members and provides the highest-quality service by remaining compliant through pre- and post-trip inspections; ensuring cleanliness; and providing safety by following all rules and regulations.

*Reporting Relationships:
**Reports to: Transportation Manager
**Direct Reports: This is a non-supervisory position.

*Compensation:
**This is a part-time, 10 month position. The hourly pay rate is between $16.00 - $29.00 dependent upon license, certifications, and experience.

*
*Essential Functions:
**
** This position has full benefits and a minimum weekly 20-hour guarantee*
** Hours of duty can range anywhere between 5:30 am and 12:00 am, including nights and weekends*
** Performs state required inspection of bus prior to each trip*
** Transports students to and from school activities and/or field trips per the school provided route and schedule in a safe and secure manner*
** Covers regular route on occasion*
** Follows all Federal, State, and local laws for transporting students*
** Treats all students calmly and respectfully*
** Ensures maintenance and cleaning schedules are completed*
** Reports any and all vehicle malfunction, defect or concern to the Transportation Supervisor immediately*
** Records and reports student incidents as they occur on the route or at designated stops*
** Accurately records mileage per procedures defined by the supervisor*
** Checks bus after each run for students and/or left behind items*
** Ensures bus is properly parked and locked inside the Pinnacle gate prior to leaving*
** Meets all Essential Job Function requirements as outlined under bus driver.*
** *Willing to obtain Class B License with P2S endorsement / Will train to get necessary license.

*Working Conditions:
**Exposure/Noise Level:* Occasional exposure to airborne particles, fumes, and outdoor weather conditions. Normal school bus environment with moderate to high noise level.*
**Mental Functions:* Analyze, collaborate, communicate, compare, compute, coordinate, direct, evaluate, interpersonal skills, report, synthesize.*
**Physical Activities:* Inspect, clean, drive school bus including bend, reach, sit, stand, stoop, talk, walk, and heavy person-to-person interaction with students, parents, and staff.*
**Weight and Force Demands:* Moderate physical activity (lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 25 pounds).*
**Other:* May be required to work outside of normal working hours and travel for work related functions.*
**Note:_ In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, during the 2020-2021 school year, school staff are critical employees and are expected to perform work on campus as required._
