ShearWorx provides mobile scrap processing and mill services throughout the country. The industries we serve include the steel industry, scrap industry and rail industry. ShearWorx has immediate openings for the role of experienced maintenance welder in Blytheville, AR. The Maintenance Welder job role is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, planning and welding material related to our mill services operations in Blytheville, AR. The qualified candidate must be able to weld materials in flat, vertical, and overhead positions. Select rod and weld type and welder setting. Cut materials using air arcs, burning rods, and acetylene/oxygen cutting torches to fit fabrication and job requirements. Perform welding repair and maintenance to production related equipment, machinery, and structures.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The job role requires:

• Reading, interpreting and following manufacturing specifications and written directions using rod type position
• Ability to perform arc gouging welding and repairs
• Performing housekeeping in your work area
• Following safety guidelines
• Performing at all times heating and cooling techniques to meet or exceed manufacturer guidelines
• Ability to mig weld, stick weld, and have brazing experience
• Assembling, dissembling, installing, and repairing equipment parts and components
• Ability to inspect equipment and/or material and diagnose, plan and recommend solutions related to welding solutions
• Performing quality assurance and quality control
• Safe handling and operation of materials and equipment at all times

Must Have:

• 3+ year’s experience

• Knowledge of heavy equipment functions and a strong mechanical background

• Understanding of the limits & safe operations of welding equipment

• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed

• Have a functional smartphone with proper storage to install and use 1-2 apps for work purposes

• Ability to work as part of a team

Nice-to-Have:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent

• Willingness to travel at times (Company reimbursed Fuel, Hotel, & Food)

• 2+ years’ experience in the steel industry or in an industrial setting

• Possess leadership skills

COMPENSATION RANGE:

$1000 - $1700 Weekly (based on experience)
