Job Duties:
- Provide support to Assistant Controller, and to the Accountant – Senior
- Maintain a “Guidebook” on how to obtain Holman Insurance Services and Risk Partners direct bill commission statements
- Maintain a solid working relationship with account management teams in order to make the process run as efficiently as possible
- Responsible for the obtaining(filling out) and maintenance of the accounting portion of all Holman Insurance Services carrier contracts both personal lines and commercial
- Assist the Accountant - Senior with Agency bill Cash receipts and reconciliations as needed
- Create and maintain a direct bill receivable tracking spreadsheet and work on collections or system corrections
- Assist the Accountant - Senior with Agency bill Carrier payables and reconciliations as needed
- Ad Hoc requests as per the direction of the Controller or Assistant Controller
- Continued development of knowledge about accounting transactions and why transactions are processed in the manner in which our procedures state
Education and/or Training:
- Prior office work experience required
- Minimum of 4 years of computer experience
Relevant Work Experience:
- Average working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and problem solving
Planning/Organizing/Material Knowledge:
- Strong note taking skills in order to review tasks done on an as needed basis
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
Communicating & Influencing Skills:
- Ability to interact with a variety of people/personalities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
