Accounting Associate Job at Agri-Mark/Cabot Creamery

The Accounting Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate production, inventory and cost related transactions within the system(s) to allow for accurate and timely financial results.
Essential Job Functions:
- Take the lead on inventory related issues as they arise
- Spend time in the plants and warehouses as needed to maintain good business relationships and job knowledge
- Process system side bulk cheese transfers and sales tickets
- Complete daily and weekly sales / inventory tie out
- Participate in, and improve, the physical inventory counting process
- Reconcile and post inventory for assigned warehouses each month
- Enter all production and inventory transactions for internal and external production sites
- Compile, issue, and explain various monthly inventory / cost reports as assigned
- Collect and analyze plant production variance data
- Handle the 3-way invoice match process and submit batches to accounts payable
Requirements
- Associates degree in Accounting is required; bachelor's degree is preferred.
