Accountant-FT-Day Shift Job at Merit Health River Oaks
Reporting to the Director of Accounting and/or Finance and/or the Senior Staff Accountant, the Accountant assists in providing accurate, timely and complete processing of accounting information while following generally accepted accounting principles. Ensures the accuracy of payroll information and maintenance of payroll system according to established policies and procedures; prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Reports organization's finances to management and offers suggestions and resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline is required.
Two (2) years of progressive accounting and/or healthcare accounting experience is strongly preferred. Preferred candidates will have experience in analytics encompassing Business Objectives. Experience in reporting and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
