Job Title: Account Manager
Job Objective: Work with Senior Account Managers and Vertical Director to manage an increased portfolio of accounts by helping Ease Logistics’ customers move their inventory in the most cost-effective way.
Summary: The Account Manager is a mid-level account management position that is responsible for the full livelihood of each account by maintaining and growing customer relationships, monitoring the day to day operations and performing key indicator reports on stability.
Duties:
Operational Duties:
- Develop strong relationships with customers’ planners, logistics teams, and facilities.
- Prospect new business through daily interaction with current and potential p.o.c.
- Work with customer contacts to understand their shipping needs.
- Work with the Carrier team to ensure shipments are covered with the best viable option.
- Analyze and negotiate rates based on current market price.
- React with sense of urgency to solve problems and look for ways to improve operational inefficiencies.
- Ensure all proper carrier paperwork is received for billing when carrier is added to EASE network.
- Maintain and oversee operations to the full extent and utilize available resources to complete.
- Report to Vertical Director any operational errors or service failures.
- Schedule and coordinate visits and outings with customers.
- Work with your operations team to provide best service to customers.
- Handle and dissolve all AR/AP issues by communicating correct billing processes to Accounting.
- Ensure all operations are reviewed before leaving or assigned to the appropriate personnel.
Account Management Duties:
- Track and record customer performance (Monthly, Quarterly, Annually).
- Work collectively with the Sales Manager to fully understand the customer and their contacts.
- Set monthly goals and work with Ease Controller and Sales Manager to maintain obtainable goals.
- Record customer interaction within TMS via Subject Orders or CRM input data.
- Maintain and update contract, RFQs and COI renewals and make available to Business development manager.
- Coordinate with Client Services, Regional Territory Managers, and Sales Manager to maintain a high level of customer service.
- Report to Operations Manager with any service or operation issues.
- Cultivate and maintain customer relations by out of office meetings, conferences, etc.
- Setup monthly customer reports to track and record progress.
- Submit a Duty Delegation sheet to management when you will be out of office.
- Work on specific accounts as needed outside of “typical” business hours. This means being available to answer phone calls and e-mails when needed.
- Monthly Status Report:
- Account Projections: Due 3rdworking day
- Account Finals: Due month end or next working day
- Subject order conversion %
- Account Interaction
- New lanes or Avenues
- Issues or requested assistance
- Day to Day Operations:
- Start each email update if needed
- Confirm CS rep for the day
- Account turnover and duty delegation
- 2nd/ 3rdshift account compliance sign off

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
