Our location in Culver, Indiana is on the shore of Lake Maxinkuckee, Culver Academies encompasses 1,800 acres of green hills and woodlands, and a historic collegiate-like campus with beautiful Gothic buildings and architecture. Dates of Commitment: March through September - Must be available for full date window. (Months listed are approximate, not a guarantee of employment.) RESPONSIBILITIES: The temporary summer Building Maintenance Laborer’s responsibilities may include anything from painting, making and installing signs around campus, light carpentry work as well as assembling furniture, shelving units and other comparable items.
REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must possess a High School Diploma/GED and a valid Indiana driver's license with a good driving record; on the job training will be provided. This position is physically demanding and requires that an individual have the physical ability to meet the requirements of the job which includes reaching with hands and arms, lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 lbs., climbing stairs, bending, stooping, and extensive walking. Employees may use our on-site Fitness Center, have one FREE meal during the workday, and receive a discount at the Campus Store and at the Uniform Shop.
