We are currently searching for a dynamic individual to become a Withdrawal Management Specialist full-time. Responsibilities require assistance in coordinating and monitoring patient activities and day-to-day operations of the assigned Withdraw Management Unit during the assigned shift.

Available to work (2nd and 3rd shift)

All positions require pre-employment drug screening and background checks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Takes vital signs as required (we provide training).

Conducts intake screens and assesses potential patients. Obtains pertinent information regarding patient drug/alcohol use, medical and social history, and patient needs.

Provides information to the agency physician regarding medical issues, medication clearance, and monitors medication according to operating policy and physician’s directions.

Provides case management services to all patients enrolled in the Withdraw Management program.

Conducts individual and group sessions. Completes necessary paperwork. Monitors patients throughout the shift.

Assists in medical/mental health treatment referrals and informs supervisor of all incidents beyond the scope of the normal Withdraw Management functions.

Verify the accuracy of monitoring reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Minimum of HS diploma or GED.

An AA or BA degree in human service or related is preferred.

Current Certify Addiction Technician (CAT), or ability to obtain CAT within 18 months of hire date required.

Experience:

Prior experience providing direct patient care, assessment, triage, crisis intervention, and group counseling.

Other:

Solid communication skills and basic computer skills are required.

CPR and first-aid certification. (Initial training and renewals paid for by agency).

Must be able to take vital signs, and recognize medical problems.
