We are looking for a Wind Turbine Technician III to join our team!
The Wind Turbine Technician III will be responsible for the safe operations and maintenance of the turbines and Balance of Plant (BOP). This position will be an advanced technician and will be performing maintenance on the wind turbines with a goal of increasing uptime and production.

What You Will Do:

Adhere to Enbridge safety standards, procedures and ensure a positive safety culture.

Coordinate execution of work with safe work practices, including electrical safety, at heights, control of hazardous energy, confined space, and cargo management.

You will also assist in leading activities related to the Balance of Plant (substation, collector system and switchyard) and civil work such as High Voltage electrical switching & substation maintenance activities (annual maintenance, outages, etc.)

Ensure scheduled wind turbine maintenance is conducted safely and achieved on time. Ensure accurate time reporting and completion of Maintenance records

Proactively look for continuous improvement opportunities to job related processes and procedures and communicates these to site management.
Who You Are:
-
You possess a High School Diploma with applied mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, or equivalent experience. College Diploma or Technical School Certificate beneficial.

As a Level III technician, you will have at least 5 years of relevant work experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Windows programs, Wind Turbine SCADA Systems, Turbine Software Uploading, Maintenance Management Programs (Maximo)

Sophisticated skills with Asset Integrity inspections, SCADA, Unscheduled Maintenance, Turbine Electrical Switching

Specific experience on Vestas V100 or V90 Wind Turbines

Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain a Passport.

Role will require being on-call (24/7) to respond to emergencies and/or maintenance needs of the site (on a pre-determined, scheduled basis).
Physical Requirements (include but are not limited to):
Flexible work hours may be required to support the facility and be available to support Emergency Response needs of the facility
Although / the incumbent will be assigned to Corpus Christi in particular, the technician may be called to travel to other Enbridge facilities as needed
Role will require being on-call (24/7) to respond to emergencies and/or maintenance needs of the site (on a pre-determined, scheduled basis).
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
Must meet requirements of fit for work which includes, but is not limited to, demonstrating hand, arm, back and leg coordination needed to ascend and descend a wind tower and complying with a weight restriction of 132 kg (or 290lb) total climbing weight. Comfort with completing physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions and comfort working in enclosed spaces and at heights of 300 ft. Employee understands that these requirements may be modified at the Company's discretion.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand sophisticated problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, coordinate and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and connect with individuals via telephone.
