Description:

The MetOcean, Science and Technology (MST) division of RPS is an oceanographic consulting firm seeking a highly motivated individual as an integral part of a team of field support personnel, oceanographers, and project managers. We are seeking a self-starting individual with a positive attitude who can adapt to a fluid work environment and an occasionally demanding schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Position Specific:

• Assisting shipping and receiving duties by packing/unpacking shipments and loading/unloading trucks
• Maintains forklift by completing preventive maintenance requirements and assisting with scheduling of repairs as requested
• Sorting and placing warehouse items as directed by organization standards
• Maintains consumables and equipment inventory
• Communicate with various RPS employees, managers, vendors, and others to provide and receive information, resolve questions and issues, and coordinate activities.
• Maintain a variety of records, files, and reports; maintain records of stock and order supplies as requested
• Operate variety of warehouse equipment and utilize a variety of hand tools as required
• Preserves safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, workstations, and warehouse neat.
• Promotes clean shipping/receiving area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Completes reports by entering required information.
• Contributes to team effort by assisting marine technicians as needed.
