$18.64 per/hour plus shift differential
Schedule
Saturday – Wednesday – 10pm – 6:30am
Job Summary
A Warehouse Tech works with another Warehouse Tech to perform both the picking and loading of product throughout the shift as needed. A Warehouse Tech working off-line drives a forklift to load and unload transferred product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensures the trailers being loaded and unloaded by forklift are chocked or locked to the dock.
- Inspects and documents trailer being loaded for damages and Food Safety violations.
- Sweeps trailer floors guaranteeing cleanliness.
- Verifies trailer number with load manifest.
- Positions conveyor to correct trailer for loading.
- Keys order into scanner.
- Scans product ID bar code and loads correct amount of cases of each product in sequence.
- Loads displays as required by manifest.
- Completes paperwork detailing cases loaded and time taken for each manifest.
- Removes float boards and keeps picking area neat, organized and safe during shift.
- When stacking in trailer, stacks cases repetitively by hand, in sequence, and in rapid succession ensuring that product continues to flow.
- Removes damaged cases and prepares them for shipment to Bakery Store.
- Installs bracing (two brace bars) to loaded trailers to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Maintains minimum pick rates and error rates.
- Loads or unloads transfer trailers.
- Maintains inventory and code dates through the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Reports damage appropriately.
- Performs daily and departmental cleaning as required.
- Demonstrates workplace behavior that is consistent with company policies and values.
- Communicates job information to accomplish work tasks.
- Maintains good attendance as defined by company and/or department policy.
- Practices good personal hygiene and maintains a clean work area.
- Exercises personal safety on the job and demonstrates a commitment to the safety of others and our products.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must have or be able to obtain a McKee Foods lift truck operator license
Computer Skills
Basic computer skills including knowledge of McKee’s WMS software; regular use of both hand held and lift truck mounted RDT units.

The employee will be required to lift an average of 18 pounds 5,000 times in an 8 hour shift; frequently lift up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
