The DOC Farmer’s Market in Jarratt, Virginia serves DOC Agribusiness in the procurement and distribution of fresh and frozen produce, eggs, milk, Kosher products, and emergency supplies throughout VA, NC, and MD in the most efficient, productive, and cost effective manner for the Agency.

The DOC Farmer’s Market is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor. To serve and be responsible for the oversight and maintaining commodity (fresh, produce, frozen foods, milk, juice, Kosher foods, etc.) inventories and supplies by properly receiving, storing, and delivering.
This is a wage position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12 month period of May 1 – April 30, regardless of the hire date. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This wage position offers no state benefits.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in general warehouse practices. Ability to operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks; to lift and handle units of produce weighing 50 lbs. Ability to train and supervise client workers; organize work assignments and collect, organize, & maintain accurate records. Working knowledge of produce handling and distribution.

Preferred Qualifications
Prefer correctional experience.
