Responsible for administration of company policies, procedures, safety, and the exercise of disciplinary actions as required. Evaluates and reviews operator performance. Maintains employee training files and coordinates training both on the job and outside needs with the training department.

Organizes workflow and scheduling in the warehouse, shipping, receiving, and reel yard. Reviews incoming receiving and outgoing shipping information.

Communicates with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Production Control, Quality, and Third Party Logistics (3PL) service provider to ensure a smooth transfer of products and materials. Organizes cable shipments through communication with Manufacturing, Production Control, Traffic, and Quality. Responsible for conducting and maintaining weekly cycle counts (per monthly count schedule), and monthly inventory to ensure material accuracy. Follows-up with Customer Service as needed on customer complaints.

Recommends staffing level for the department, and interviews job applicants. Confirms and manages the warehouse work areas to comply with the company's Clean & Neat standards, and 5S practices. By leadership and example supports the OFS Fitel, LLC local and corporate policies, and programs.

Manages and maintains the import/export process and documentation, and ensures compliance with U.S. and foreign government laws and regulations. Oversees the completion of paperwork and monetary transactions associated with international distribution in a timely manner. May negotiate with clients or handle issues with customs officials. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others.

Works with Accounting and 3rd Party Logistics provider to confirm contractual obligations are being met and carrier selection is sufficient to meet OFS requirements.

Assists management in coordinating activities and improvements in all areas of Logistics.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Warehouse Supervisor – Receiving Dock, Shipping Dock and Warehouses

v Supervision of Receiving and Shipping Dock personnel.

v Execute disciplinary action as required according to company policies and procedures.

v Manage available manpower, machinery and company resources to meet operation objectives.

v Provide Shipping guidance, directions, and objectives consistent with operating goals.

v Investigate and execute response to Corrective Action Requests (CARs).

v Investigate and respond to Customer Complaints.

v Update Supply Chain Scorecard as required.

v Conduct shipping audits.

v Execute expedited shipment, re-consignment and returned material pickup delivery arrangements.

v Negotiate local line-haul arrangements.

v Execute, monitor and maintain company’s Department of Transportation license.

v Ensure straight truck meets D.O.T. operating and safety standards.

v Negotiate and execute cross dock warehousing, delivery and unloading arrangements.

v Manage forklift supplier performance delivery.

v Warehousing availability, plan and execute CAPEX re-warehousing activities.

v Responsible for timely and correct SAP material movements and inventory accuracy.

v Responsible for timely and correct receipts and material movements into warehouse storage locations.
