Armstrong Steel is currently looking for a Warehouse Shipping Supervisor -This is an immediate opening opportunity and are actively seeking qualified candidates.
Occupational Family: Manufacturing
Reports To: Plant Superintendent
Summary:
This is a functional supervisory position.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for keeping the shipyard neat and organized
2. Unload and organize per job, each light gauge loads
4. Document all loads by taking pictures and sorting to the proper files
5. Using shippers on each job to make sure all the parts on the job are accounted for and completed by loading date
6. Follow the load schedule and load trucks accordingly as Drop 1, Drop 2 or solo

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must possess 1 to 3 years of leadership background in a manufacturing environment. Shipping experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must have excellent attention to detail and should be focused and accurately understand quality assurance requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsible for 4 - 5 employees in the warehouse and shipping departments
Work Environment:
Manufacturing environment. Noise volume varies from loud to normal. Will work in all types of weather from hot in the summer to sub zero during the winter.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 50-75 lbs
Walking 75%
Pushing/pulling 25%
Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Occasional OT required
