Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for contractors who are available to work Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. You must be available these days - Days ONLY (no night shifts)

We are looking for grocery pickers and packers to breakdown large quantity items into the appropriate quantity size for an order and pack grocery bags for families. This role requires a person who takes pride in their work, comfortable with measurements and has the ability to be an efficient independent worker.

We need someone who is a self starter, reliable, and pays close attention to details. The ideal candidate has an eye for process improvement - our goal is to always be getting better!

The perfect person for this role is someone who wants to have a real impact at a growing startup. A love for food and community building are icing on the cake.

What You Will Handle:

• Process incoming orders - organize all printed documents and materials needed for each order
• Breakdown large quantity food products into appropriate order sizes.
• Build customer grocery bags based on ingredient lists - adjusting for ingredient omissions and substitutions notated on the order.
• Ensure all ingredients are labeled correctly.
• Organize and store each order in its respective area for logistics
• Notify the operations team of any ingredient shortages and items with low inventory.

You’re For Us If:

• High School Diploma or Higher
• You have at least one year working in a grocery store, food warehouse, food service company (caterer, restaurant, amazon, reef, commissary kitchen, Instacart)
• You are comfortable and familiar with various food ingredients across different regions.
• You are family with food measurements (lbs, Cup, tbsp etc).
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal with the ability to communicate ideas, solutions, and feedback in a clear and concise manner
• You have the ability to learn on the go and confidence to learn autonomously
• Have great hygiene. Food safe certification is a HUGE plus
• You must be able to work Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

• You are impartial about food - You never cook and are unfamiliar with measurements.
• You struggle to communicate clearly
• You are not a people person or team player
• You struggle to think outside of the box and come up with ideas and solutions
• You are not a self starter and require someone to map every detail for you in order to solve a problem or complete a task.
• You are looking for easy fast money - simply want to bide your time until you find something better.
• You are not open to feedback in order to grow together with the team.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
