Warehouse

The Picker/Loader is responsible for performing a variety of duties in loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near work site. Performs any combination of shipping/receiving, storing and distribution tasks to assist in the distribution of product.

Essential Job Duties

• Responsible for frequently pulling and loading trucks based on daily orders. Meeting specifics of driver orders on a daily basis.
• Slide milk case stacks from pallet using Milk Hook or Pallet Jack as appropriate
• Responsible for operating various pieces of equipment (Manual/ Electrical Pallet Jack and hand truck).
• Responsible for keeping products separated, organized and in good rotation. Perform cooler inventory as needed.
• Handle returned and truck inventory product as instructed.
• Safely handle all materials
• Ensure trucks are loaded in a timely and efficient manner while keeping dock doors closed and locked at all times when not in use.
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information in accordance with SOPs
• Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
• Continuously scan the area and straighten up to reduce trip and slip hazards. Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
• Follow all required work safe practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Physical and Mental Abilities Required

• Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach, and bend virtually the entire shift.
• Frequently required to lift to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting as necessary
• Able to wear all required PPE in designated areas
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships and effectively work in a team environment
• Able to write legibly and make correct entries for record keeping.
• Ability to prioritize activities while working in a fast-paced environment.

Environmental Work Conditions

• Manufacturing and warehouse
• Must be able to work in a wet environment
• May occasionally be exposed to cleaning products and other chemicals
• Ability to work in cool refrigeration
