Specific responsibilities include:
Personal and Community Well-Being Services (60%)
- Work directly with a diverse student body one-on-one and in groups to facilitate WahooWell conversations and interventions about personal and community well-being from a solution-focused, positive, and evidence- based framework
- Provide referrals to both on- and off-Grounds resources, as necessary
- Assist with the development, implementation, and administration of a comprehensive evaluation plan to assess the fidelity, outcome, and impact of WahooWell initiatives
- Use knowledge gained from assessment to adjust content and approaches .
Administration (20%)
- Perform administrative functions which support WahooWell including confidential scheduling, tracking, and documenting participating students
- Respond to inquiries from students, family members, other community members, and media .
Collaboration (20%)
- Strengthen University and community networks by initiating outreach to referral sources and other stakeholders, including creating and conducting presentations/trainings as needed
- Assist with coordination of strategic well-being messages and learning outcomes into OHP interventions, Student Health and Wellness physical and online spaces, and divisional initiatives
- Serve as a community resource for student well-being, focusing on concerns common to the student experience such as stress, sleep, social health, and substance use
- Understand, be committed to, and contribute to implementation of departmental and institutional goals
- Perform other duties as assigned .
The salary range for this position is $45,000-55,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. We are committed to fostering an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Social Work, Higher Education, Counseling or closely related field with at least two years of full-time, professional experience; OR Master’s Degree in a related field with at least 1 year of full-time, professional experience is preferred . Six years of highly relevant experience required with a high school diploma or equivalent may be considered.
- Empathy for the needs surrounding college students
- Understanding of student development issues, emerging needs, and interests
- Ability to work in collaboration with graduate and undergraduate students
- Ability to relate effectively to and engage with faculty, administration, and community agencies
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and creating inclusive environments
- Introductory knowledge and experience in research and program evaluation
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to be part of evolving initiatives in a growth-oriented team environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes some evenings and weekends .
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three-five years of relevant professional experience
- Training and experience with motivational interviewing strategies, positive psychology, wellness coaching, and/or strengths-based work within a college health, student support, or substance misuse prevention setting
- Knowledge of best practices in collegiate health promotion and public health
- CHES, NBC-HWC, NCC, or other relevant certification.

Physical Demands:
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
