VP of Manufacturing Operations Description
Our client, a leading company in the equipment manufacturing industry, is looking for a VP of Manufacturing Operations to add to their team in Farmingdale, NY. You will be responsible for driving excellent manufacturing operations across the business including overseeing six direct reports and the overall efficiency of the Production, Project Management, Purchasing, and Control Panel departments. Our client is looking for someone who can own decisions and has experience demonstrating operational success in a manufacturing industry and can flourish in a fast-paced environment. To be successful in this role, you must have at least ten years of operational manufacturing and a minimum of seven years of supervisory experience. VP of Manufacturing Operations Responsibilities
- Review and maintain procedures and processes to cover all aspects of transactions in operation
- Run Hand-off process from sales to operation
- Oversee the activities of Project Managers
- Draft Manuals for new developments and features
- Manage the overall cost of projects
- Finalize and communicate installation reports to customers
- Review technical outcomes
- Supervise shop manager and personnel, including training, hiring, etc.
- Maintain schedules and set priorities for customer delivery requirements
- Quality checks for client deliverables vs plans
- Maintain ERP activities
- Negotiate price and long-term contracts and orders
- Help in developing difficult applications
- Provide training to personnel
- Travel to customers when critical troubleshooting is required
VP of Manufacturing Operations Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required/ Engineering degree preferred
- 10+ years of operational experience required
- 7+ years of supervisory experience required
- Exposure to manufacturing experience required
- Experience in metals manufacturing required
- Proficient in Word and Excel experience required
- Must be willing to travel 1-2x per month required
