Vita Builders LLC, part of the Vita Plus family of companies, is hiring a Millwright based in Fall River, Wisconsin. This position works closely with customers, sales, and office staff to clearly communicate project details, install equipment, and repair work.

What you’ll do:

• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Dismantle machinery or equipment, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools
• Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
• Assemble and install equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and legs, using hand tools and power tools
• Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, lasers, and plumb bobs
• Assembles machinery and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures using hand tools and power tools
• Repair and lubricate machinery and equipment as required
• Select cables, ropes, chains, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved
• Attach load with grappling devices such as loops, wires, ropes, and chains to a lift point
• Set up, brace, and rig hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches
• May direct workers engaged in hoisting of machinery and equipment
• In addition, one may perform all duties of general laborer, skilled laborer, pipe fitter and welder

What you need:

• Skill to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
• Ability to follow instructions and read blueprints, use logical step-by-step procedures, plan work, solve problems, look at two-dimensional drawings or pictures and visualize how they would look as three-dimensional objects, and make decisions based on quantifiable information
• Ability to work at heights without fear
• Willingness to perform a variety of duties, which may change often, and operate a wide range of machinery
• Welding experience is a plus
• Always work in a safe manner

Other requirements:

• Coordinate eye-hand movements
• Work in fluctuating weather conditions
• Able to lift 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally
• Travel in the USA
• Work long hours and weekends
• Leave on Mondays and return to shop on Fridays
• Pass a Drug Screening
• Full use of hands and fingers
• See and hear well (either naturally or with correction)
• Communicate using a hand-held radio
• Stoop, lay, bend, squat, knell and crouch
• Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
