The Communications & Public Engagement Department is hiring a Video Creative Services Manager position. We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Video Creative Services Manager to lead the City of Fort Worth's video production team for FWTV, a division of the Department of Communications and Community Engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in video production and the preferred experience working in the public sector. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a small team of video production specialists and ensuring that all video content aligns with our organization's messaging, mission, and goals—in a space where the limits of innovation would be restrained only by your creativity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business Administration, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration or a related field
  • Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in public relations, journalism, marketing, communications, or a closely related field
  • Two (2) years of administrative management or supervisory responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the public sector, with a strong understanding of public sector communications and messaging
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
  • Knowledge of video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio equipment
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

The Video Creative Services Manager Job Responsibilities include:

  • Manage a small team of video production specialists, including assigning tasks, providing feedback and mentoring, and ensuring that team members have the resources they need to succeed
  • Conceptualize and create high-quality video content that helps the residents of Fort Worth better understand the organization, as well as its mission and goals
  • Collaborate with City of Fort Worth leaders and departmental stakeholders to identify and develop video concepts that meet their needs
  • Develop scripts, storyboards, and shot lists for video projects
  • Film and edit video content using professional equipment and software
  • Ensure that videos are visually appealing and engaging, with high-quality sound and visuals
  • Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met and stakeholders are kept informed
  • Assist in the maintenance and updating of the City of Fort Worth video library, ensuring that all content is easily accessible and properly tagged
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest video production techniques and technologies, and recommend updates to our equipment and software as needed
  • Manage the budget for video production, including equipment purchases and contracts with external vendors
