Job Title: Electronics & Video Game Retail Associate

Schedule: 20-40 hours per week; schedule may vary, flexibility required. Weekend and Evening availability required. May also require shifts in Willowick, OH or Lyndhurst, OH.

Summary:

Working with some oversight, but independently, the Retail Department delivers consistent value by offering superior customer service at Electronics Flip. Retail clerks are responsible for checking in merchandise, assisting customers, handling payments, and tracking inventory in the store.

Responsibilities:

• Stock and organize shelves with merchandise.

• Price merchandise according to condition and the current market.

• Interact with customers by assisting them with inquiries and offering additional merchandise to enhance their purchase.

• Assist customers with questions about trade-ins, repairs, and merchandise that may not currently be in stock.

• Learn and utilize computer-based inventory system to check for warehouse stock and monitor online retail listings.

• Ring out customers’ final purchases by totaling their purchase cost, processing payment correctly, and logging the purchase in to designated inventory system as instructed.

• Create and post social media postings advertising the store and specific products via Craigslist and Facebook.

• Communicate with management and warehouse staff to ensure the store has proper stock of popular items and if there is defective inventory.

• Maintain a clean and organize store.

• Assist in listing products on to online retail venues including the store’s website and Amazon.

• Assist in shipping of items for online sales to customers.

• Assist in testing and cleaning electronics for store and online sales.

• Manage start of day and end of day cash drawers.

• Complete necessary tasks for opening the store and closing the store based on assigned shift each day.

• Show your professionalism and enthusiasm to deliver great results.

• Other duties as assigned depending on workload and time of year.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED, previous retail experience preferred.

• Minimum 1 year electronics sales STRONGLY PREFERRED.

• Basic to intermediate computer proficiency (MS Office, Google).

• Customer service oriented with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to multi-task, conduct independent research, and use decisive judgment under minimal supervision.

• Ability to work independently and use critical thinking skills to prioritize work needs.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

• Team-minded with flexibility to adjust daily tasks based on staffing needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
