Our Clinic & Services: Bellson Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital that has been proudly serving highly skilled veterinary medicine and compassionate care in the Columbia, IL community since 1991. Our patients include dogs, cats, horses, and pocket pets.

We provide a variety of top-notch services for our patients with our updated veterinary medical technology such as preventative care, surgical procedures, dental care, advanced diagnostics, radiography, and more.

Job Responsibilities/Requirements: Experience in the veterinary field is preferred and will be prioritized over applicants that do not have any.

Requirements of this position include: good client communication and phone skills, basic computer literacy, ability to multitask in a busy environment, ability to lift 30 pound minimum, write legibly, dress professionally (scrubs), show up on time for each shift, ability to administer injections, perform venipuncture, take vitals, restrain animals when necessary for examination or treatment, and providing treatments/medications as necessary.

Other responsibilities include: assisting animal patients with feeding, bathing, and exercising, assisting veterinary technicians and veterinarians with lab work, cleaning/sterilizing kennels, operating rooms, exam rooms, etc., comforting/restraining patients, greeting customers, answering questions/phone calls, processing incoming patients, handling payments, updating files/patient charts, billing, and other various tasks as needed.
