Valet Attendant Job at Hotel Covington
We are looking for a reliable, fast, and friendly Valet Attendant to join our Guest Services team at Hotel Covington. Come join us!
Position Summary:
Primary responsibility is to welcome all guests, issue appropriate valet tickets when Bell Captain is not present, give a fond farewell, assist guests with the loading and unloading of their luggage, provide directions, act as a guide for in-house guests, provide assistance to front desk staff and concierge, act as a doorman when necessary, and be a team player to the Guest Services team.
Job Requirements:
- MUST HAVE Valid Driver’s License
- Provides valet parking services to safely and efficiently move guest vehicles to designated parking
- Assists guests with unloading luggage from vehicle and escorting them up to their room, providing detailed introduction to room type and amenities
- Assists guests with loading up luggage from room, getting it down to their vehicle and loading it in for them, before asking if the guest(s) need directions to their next destination.
- Understands guest services needs and exceeds guest expectations by taking advantage of opportunities to add a special touch
- Greet guests who arrive to the hotel by opening their car door and welcoming them to the hotel.
- Responsible for interacting with guests in the lobby, while ensuring the area is neat and tidy
- Provides recognition to repeat guests
Additional Requirements:
- Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a guest services environment
- Able to work well unsupervised
- Basic computer skills necessary

- Attend all required meetings
- Follow proper payroll and uniform procedures
- Properly handle and report associate and guest accidents
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental polices/service procedures/standards
- Assist with responsibilities and duties in other departments and as assigned by management
- Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel
Work Environment:
- Standard hotel setting
- Physical Demand:
- Will be outside consistently during all weather types
- Continuous standing 100% of the shift with the exception of driving
- Lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying required up to 200 lbs. Carts may be pulled up to the length of a full city block
- Bending/kneeling required 50% of shift
- Mobile position required 100% of the time
