The role provides operational financial support to the US business undertaking cost accounting and analysis; month-end closing, cost and variance analysis, development of annual product standards costs and analysis of inventories. It ensures manufacturing costs and related assets and liabilities are understood, auditable and properly recorded.

In addition to Finance the role collaborates closely with the Production Manager, Head of Logistics, Head of Quality and Operations Manager in areas such as cost and variance analysis, development of annual product standard costs and analyzing inventories.

Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly COGS, PPV and Manufacturing variance journal entries.
• Lead yearly standard setting process for finished goods, components, and core parts.
• Pro-actively identify and address accounting and control issues to ensure the Cost of Goods Sold section of the financials are compliant and correct.
• Review operations on new and proposed cost estimates.
• Preparation of required budgets.
• Active participant in analyzing cycle count results and involvement in annual inventory count.
• Establish, maintain and review standard costs systems.
• Track, analyze and report inventory valuations to management, ensure valued inventories have accurate quantities and are properly valued in accordance to US GAAP.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Experience and Skills

Essential Qualifications:

• Prior manufacturing experience.
• Experience with SYSPRO or other ERP software.
• Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards.
• Excellent verbal and written skill.
• Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data.
• Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate/advanced Excel skills.

Education and Certification

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 5+ years of post CPA cost accounting experience
