CLASS A CDL DRIVER - Spokane Regional/Sleeper position

#20213 - Spokane sleeper position

VCT is currently looking for safe and reliable Class A CDL truck drivers for our fleet in Spokane Valley, WA. This position will transport customers products to various locations within Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. This position is a sleeper berth position and will require the team member to be away from home up to 4 nights per week. The predominant hauls are as follows but not inclusive.

• Spokane Wa to Wenatchee Wa
• Sandpoint Idaho to Arlington Or
• Kittitas county to Wenatchee Wa.
• Occasionally this position will haul wood residuals from various mills to various delivery destinations.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Class A CDL DL
• Current DOT medical card
• No major traffic violations within the last three years
• Must be safe and reliable
• Team player
• Able to work in inclement weather occasionally
• Physically able to climb a ladder occasionally
• Physically able to open manual tarp systems using upper body strength
• Willing and able to use and install tire chains as necessary
• Able to work through unforeseen issues with professionalism and with minimal supervision
• Ability to enter Canada a plus

Compensation

• $0.55 per mile
• $25.00 Overnight Sleeper pay (must be dispatched overnight)
• $30.00 Wenatchee Transfer station to WLF
• Wood Residuals
• $30.00 to load
• $15.00 to unload
• Per hour pay for anything after 45 minutes of extended wait time. (managed by dispatch)
• Border crossing per mile differential

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CMV to various locations
• Follow direction from dispatch
• Perform DOT inspections in accordance with federal and state requirements
• Report any defects found during pre-trip, mid- trip and post trip inspections to the appropriate personnel
• Comply with all state and federal DOT regulations
• Report any and all violations as well as any encounters with law enforcement
