Summary:
The Translation Project Manager will be exposed to every facet of the language services business, with the opportunity to learn a great deal from colleagues within Language Services. The Translation Project Manager will monitor and analyze performance, and implement every aspect of translation services for consistent and effective results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain and work with a network of qualified and specialized translators in a variety of languages.
- Ensures translator standards of practice and code of ethics are implemented.
- Ensures documentation of required information and data is accurately processed in a timely manner.
- Supervise all phases of the organization translation projects as required.
- Manage all individual and organization translation projects as required.
- Develop project strategies/plans/instructions/processes for translation projects of varying size/scope for business processes.
- Identify, assign, schedule, supervise and train team members for projects (translators, DTP operators, publishers, and other individual resources).
- Evaluate project submissions and produce project quotations.
- Communicate with clients regarding project status, queries from translators, and other issues.
- Assist with the recruiting process to recruit freelance translators.
- Monitor and update the translator database.
- Manage Translation Memory: project specific, organization specific, alignment, exporting, importing, cleaning, QA, and validation.
- Manage Translation Glossaries in MultiTerm or other platform databases as needed.
- Develop, maintain, and update style guides for different languages.
- Negotiate rates with freelance translators and/or agencies.
- Obtain, or create glossaries and reference documents and make revisions as needed.
- Perform basic in-house DTP tasks and text preparation.
- Handles complex concepts and problems in a professional manner.
- Maintains Content Management System, run different types of reports, i.e. document type, organization, department, location, etc., document version control.
- Partners with IT to integrate new technology to improve translation management and processes.
- Balance multiple tasks simultaneously and process rapid decisions regarding administrative issues.
- Assist with other duties as assigned and additional duties as required.

Experience:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience working in a Translation Company.
- Experience in using Machine Translations.
Education & Certification Required:
- Bachelor’s in business or Job-Related Field
- Bridging the Gap or equivalent certification
Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office 365, SalesForce, SmartSheet, Content Management System, Translation Management System: SDL Trados, MemoQ, etc., Acrobat InDesign, Project Management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
