The Training and Development Manager will align training with organizational career development programs to support the growth of Team Members. This involves understanding the needs and priorities of the business and subsequently translating these into training and development opportunities. In this position, you’ll be responsible for brand implementation and delivery of training for leadership and team members. Flexibility in scheduling with alternating days and times for classroom instruction based on the availability of the students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide high level administrative tasks and exceptional customer service to New Hires and Team Members

• Conduct or facilitate required and recommended team member training sessions, personal development classes, and support change management efforts

• Fast pace, long hours and up to 5 days per week of classroom facilitation

• Run reports through Oracle and audit the data in Excel for required safety and compliance training

• Internal communications for team members events and announcements via internal platforms such as email, Everbridge, digital posting boards, and Empire Wire which includes flyer creation through Canva

• Plan, organize, facilitate and orders supplies for employee development and training events

• Live and embrace our mission, vision, values, and inclusive diversity, equity and inclusion culture

• Assess workforce trends and provide solutions to reduce turnover and improve engagement and bench strength across the organization

• Review existing training programs, identify opportunities, suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement

• Maintain knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization

• All other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Three years of industry experience with broad knowledge in training, organizational and leadership development

• Experience with needs assessment, curriculum delivery and program coordination

• Strong administrative and technical skills with Microsoft Office, Canva and HRIS systems

• Strategic thinker with the ability to be hands on

• Must be a strong team player and collaborator

• Program management skills - including managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track and excellent time management

• Excellent presentation design and delivery skills - both live and pre-recorded

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university preferred; graduate or post-graduate degree in Communications, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Development, Leadership or related field is highly preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds

• Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, twist and work at a desk/counter when performing functions of the job

• Office environment may include variable temperature and lighting levels

• Casino environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting and noise
