Classification Salary Range: The anticipated salary range for this position is $3,338 - $4,913 per month.
The final salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
About the Department/Position
Under the general supervision of the Director of the Toro Learning and Testing Center (TLTC), the Testing Assistant’s primary duties involve a full range of general office clerical support to the Toro Learning & Testing Center and collaborates extensively with office staff and student leaders to collectively uphold a welcoming and hospitable environment.
Overview of Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in the day-to-day procedures and practices in preparing exam test materials, preparing check-in, and proctoring standardized exams.
- Works with students, non-student test takers, instructors, proctors, and co-workers to facilitate smooth, timely, accurate and secure test administration and processing.
- Ensures that all student staff are appropriately trained with front office procedures.
- Assists in organizing student staff office assignments and office hours.
- Assist with the collection of data for weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end closing and reporting activities, or as needed by Director.
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school program or its equivalent and some experience in an office environment, equivalent to two years.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- General working knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices.
- Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Fundamental writing and presentation skills to effectively communicate standard information.
- Ability to identify and solve standard problems and refer more complex problems to appropriate staff.
- Ability to respond to routine inquiries and explain standard policies and procedures to others.
