Campus Recreation and Intramurals

Job Summary


The Temporary Employee will support the Campus Recreation and Intramurals (CRI) as a Golf Course Attendant.

This position is located six miles from the Statesboro campus at the University Park Golf Course.

Temporary employees are employed according to departmental need and the length of time will vary by workload and may not exceed 1300 hours worked in a 12-consecutive month period.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and closes the pro shop
  • Answers telephone calls, makes reservations and checks in customers
  • Receives and processes merchandise
  • Assists taking daily and monthly inventory
  • Assists in selection and re-ordering of inventory
  • Displays merchandise and promotes merchandise sales, golf clinics, golf tournaments, and various events
  • Cleans and maintains golf carts
  • Sets up and maintains driving range
  • Sets up and breaks down Self Service Food Area
  • Handles light food preparation and customer transactions
  • Maintains service area cleanliness and replenishments
  • Ensures health codes and food safety procedures are followed
  • Assists in enforcement of rules and etiquette and creates a fun environment for all patrons
  • Organizes and cleans work area, clubhouse, and surroundings
  • Responds to inquiries and concerns of patrons
  • Follows safety and risk management procedures

Shift Specifics

  • 10 - 25 hours per week
  • Flexible with schedule of availability

Required Qualifications


Educational Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications


Preferred Experience

  • Previous golf course experience

Proposed Salary


$8.00 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
