Spherion Mid Ohio, in partnership with The JM Smucker Company, is seeking a contract Technologist to support operations within their Orrville Research and Development facility. This is a long-term contract role that offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience working in a Fortune 500 company. There is opportunity for potential permanent hire for the right candidate!
Position Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for a variety of housekeeping, sanitation, and daily scheduled equipment checks throughout the Research and Development facility.

Schedule and Location:
This position is full time, 40 hours/week. Work schedule is approximately 8am-5pm, Monday - Friday, within a team-oriented environment. This position will work 100% on-site at the Smucker Company campus in Orrville, Ohio.

Position Summary:

Key Tasks:
- Support facility and equipment sanitation
- Perform routine equipment checks ensuring proper function (refrigerators, etc)
- Check and record equipment function and sanitation per routine protocol
- Clean and sanitize lab and production machinery
- Support housekeeping tasks related to test and trial runs
- Complete shipping, receiving, and inventory related tasks
- Load and unload freight with manual or powered pallet jack
- Basic housekeeping, cleaning, and sanitation of work areas, floors, and tools
- Adhere to all lab and facility safety protocols and procedures
- Maintain appropriate supplies in work area
- Basic data entry and paperwork
- Work and communicate effectively with internal teams
Requirements:
- Previous sanitation experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow established procedures
- Basic computer and keyboarding skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Education:
HS Diploma is required
