Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to effectively use basic test instruments, e.g. digital volt meter, oscilloscope etc
- Ability to effectively use basic electro-mechanical hand tools
- Build and test prototype instrumentation
- Record data and test results
- Manage and stock two prototyping laboratories
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree
- 2-4 years of experience

Technical Support Job Summary and Responsibilities:
- Provide basic technical support to customer via email, phone, or other methods; does not work on site unless accompanied by a more senior technician.
- Possess a basic understanding of the organization's products and services, but escalates more complex inquiries
- Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment
- Provide telephone technical support to customers and/or employees regarding technical aspects of assigned products
- Answer specific questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization, and usage of assigned products
- Apply diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures
- Enter trouble ticket notes into the notification system
- Escalate complex problems to Senior level Customer Technical Support Specialist or Supervisor
- May also provide technical support to company employees
- This is not an engineer-level position
- Input part warranty and sales orders
Qualifications/Experience:
- Associate degree in Electronic Technologies or equivalent 1-2 years of technical customer service experience
- 0-3 years of experience in the field or a related area
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
- Able to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions
- Able to stay professional with challenging conditions and customers
- Knowledge of hardware and /or software products required
- Must have strong communication skills and be able to effectively communicate technical issues
