If you're as tough, dependable and reliable as the compressors we make, then you're the right fit for Quincy Compressor. We are currently seeking a Technical Support Agent to join our team! This position will be based out of Bay Minette, AL.

This position is the technical support for all brand portfolio products sold and supported by our Commercial Market. The Technical Support Agent provides technical assistance and expertise concerning rotary and reciprocating, and quality air products. It provides technical support focusing troubleshooting, maintenance, and warranty support as well as gathering and reporting failure information on products.

Principle Duties:

• Troubleshoot problems with equipment for resellers and end users.
• Assist customers to the best of their ability to obtain technical information needed to be satisfied with the performance of their air compressor, and/or dryer.
• Continually update personal knowledge of new products or modifications to existing product lines and various warranty policies.
• Screen and process claims of warranty on the products in a timely manner.
• Generate warranty orders when required for emergency field repairs.
• Generate RMAs for returned goods as required for warranty evaluation and vendor requests.
• Travel to the field when required for the resolution of service related problems
• Provide training to Service Technicians and distributors on product service and repair both in service school and in the field when needed.
• Accept and complete any special projects/assignments that are not principle duties of this position, but are in line with goal and objectives of this department and/or division.

Education and Experience:

• High School Degree required with an Associates Degree preferred.
• 2-3 years expereince preferred

Job Knowledge and Skills:

• Principles of compressed air.
• Product knowledge of piston and rotary air compressors
• Strong technical understanding of the functionality of air compressors
• Excellent phone skills
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to be able to move about the facility (standing, walking) and occasionally at customer sites, varying by location.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Safety glasses & steel toed safety shoes if required to enter working areas of plant

Work Environment:

• Mainly an office environment with some warehouse or workshop environment, and occasional customer site visits in the field.
