The Bell V-280 Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) Future Vertical Lift (FVL) Program has an opportunity available for an Air Vehicle Systems Integration Lead role. This role is responsible for building and leading a team to complete all subsystem and air vehicle level integration and qualification activities in the Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL). The Air Vehicle Systems Integration Lead will work with all Integrated Product Teams to accomplish the program SIL testing activities. This role has an opportunity to transition into a leadership position managing the Integration and Test Team this role forms.
Position Responsibilities:
- Create and lead a cross-functional integration and verification team to develop, manage, and execute developmental & formal integrated subsystem verification testing in the SIL for all required systems.
- Act as a key interface to the US Army Systems Readiness Directorate to communicate subsystem and air vehicle verification plans, status, results, and limitations.
- Key coordinator to the Flight Controls, Avionics, Electrical, Safety, Simulation, Flight Technology, Flight Test, Pilots, and Mission Systems IPTs to plan, execute, and manage Systems Integration and Verification testing through the Airworthiness Release process, to include aircraft integration readiness and flight test coordination.
- Manage and provide status updates on team Schedule, Cost Estimates, Risks, and staffing requirements.
- Manage team performance to allocated testing requirements and schedule.
- Manage and coach team personnel to ensure an engaged and skilled team focused on design development and qualification milestones.
- Meet all program contractual deliverables while maintaining compliance with all internal and external policies and procedures

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required. Major in an Engineering degree is preferred. *Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in aerospace industry within Flight Controls, Avionics, Electrical, Safety, Simulation, Flight Technology, Flight Test, Pilots, or Mission Systems IPTs.
- Previous experience with developing, integrating, and certifying/qualifying rotorcraft in one or more of aircraft systems, to include both hardware and software.
- Previous leadership experience (including formal or informal, technical or non-technical).
- Must be a proven self-starter requiring minimal supervision, with excellent written and oral communication skills, and PC skills.
- Candidates must be eligible to obtain Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in aerospace industry.
- Familiarity and experience with RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-810, RTCA DO-178, RTCA DO-254, SAE ARP4754A, SAE ARP4761, 14 CFR Part 27 and Part 29 for commercial and military qualification and certification of aircraft systems, and multiple data protocols.
- Aircraft flight test experience.
- Development of system architectures and schematics.
- Failure mode and effects testing for systems in a SIL environment.
- System development and testing in a SIL.
- Aircraft installation, functional testing, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Enovia, DOORS, Cameo, and Serena Dimensions.
