A Systems Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Mossville, IL area. This role is a systems engineer role that will be integrating engine control software and engine electronics including testing, specification, troubleshooting, collecting data, data analysis, etc.

• Individually testing, investigating issues, executing a prioritized work list from lead engineers.
• Creating test plans, executing test plans, documenting test results, sharing/presenting test results.
• Issues can range from software investigations to electronic hardware testing and validation.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 5-7 years experience required.

Technical Skills

Required:

• Proficient in the use of lab test equipment familiarity (scopes, meters, power supplies, etc.), and relative experience with data analysis.
• Ability to create and execute electronic test plans relative to Engine or Power System ECM (electronic control module), software, actuators, sensors, injectors, and harnessing.

Desired: Proficient with Vector tools: CANape and CANalyzer
