Survey Technician
BH2M is a full-service civil engineering and land surveying consulting firm in its 45th year of business. From our headquarters in Gorham, ME we provide a wide variety of professional services to our Maine clients in the public and private sector. We currently have an open position for a full time Survey Technician. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join a growing firm with a reputation for providing high quality service to our long-term clientele.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- 2+ years of experience preferred but not required
- Knowledgeable about or the ability to learn the principles and proper maintenance of surveying instruments
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing and able to travel and occasionally remain overnight
- Ability to assist survey party chief as directed to conduct land surveys
- Ability to maintain records, prepare reports, and other functions as required
- Knowledge of or ability to learn mathematics, survey computer programs, and survey computations applicable to the work
- Ability to carry out written and oral instructions, communicate with others effectively, and maintain favorable public relations
