NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs


If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.

Salary Range

$86,600 - $166,600

  • Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate¿s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

What Your Job Will Be Like


We are seeking a Subcontract Manager to join our team!

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Oversee and administer high-value contracts from placement through final closeout.
  • Handle all phases of subcontract award: acquisition planning, the competitive process, negotiation, and award of numerous types of large complex subcontracts for research & development, goods and/or services, in support of the laboratory’s Science, Technology, & Engineering directorate under the authorities of the Prime Contract, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) system, and commercial best practices.
  • Partner with members of Sandia’s scientific, engineering, supply, legal, and financial communities to identify challenges and opportunities that can or should be addressed through the acquisition process.
  • Manage supplier performance, interactions, communications, and relationships.
  • Lead and document complex source selection decisions.
  • Thoroughly document the solicitation and award process including a sound justification for price.
  • Anticipate and resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

The selected applicant can be a virtual worker located in any U.S. State or District of Columbia. Regular or periodic travel to your assigned work location may be required.

Qualifications We Require

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or other relevant field plus five or more years of relevant experience; or equivalent experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and ability to perform the duties of the job.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US DOE L-level security clearance.

  • Master's degree in Business or other relevant field.
  • Knowledge and experience with business management functions and with project administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, manage, and prioritize a variety of tasks and work independently, under deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Willing to take initiative, take ownership of job responsibilities, and make appropriate decisions to complete tasks.
  • Excellent analytical, facilitation, and decision analysis skills.

Security Clearance
