Ensures appropriate accommodations are provided to students. Delivers curriculum on an individualized level according to needs of students. Provides special needs services to improve student's performance to meet College standards and re-mediates skill area deficits.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Delivers special needs services and accommodations as determined by the ADA Coordinator and tracks outcomes.Follow up on required information, collaborate, and update agency partners on progress of individuals in accordance with the cooperative agreements. Acts as liaison between instructor and ADA coordinator and/or designee on behalf of student.Understands specific program requirements and skills required in every program of the College.Acts as a student advocate.Understands and is compliant with all federal regulations governing special needs students (ADA, 504, IDEA)Communicates and reports directly to the College ADA Coordinator and/or designee on progress of assigned students.Maintains confidentiality of all student records.Identifies potential problems and reports to appropriate Student Service personnel.Performs other related duties as necessary.Evening hours may be required.

The College reports all positions to the Department of Work Force Services and posts all positions on the website: www.davistech.edu/hr. Verification of a typing score (within last six months) if required, is accepted from the Campus Testing Center. The Davis Technical College complies with all aspects of the ADA and section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
