What you will do

• As a Devslopes Student Advisor, you will run a professional development and accountability program that will teach students how to become successful software employees.
• You are responsible for becoming a tech industry expert as you work with students. In specifics, you will help students develop and maintain sustainable study and work habits.
• You focus on student success by demonstrating successful communication, time management, and other professional skills through our daily calls with student groups.
• You strive for operational excellence, documenting student status within our student management software, and tracking student success and contact unengaged / at risk students.
• As a Devslopes Student Advisor, you are driven to solve real problems and support low-income / minority communities through affordable and effective education. You will continue to support these students by developing and building on a student success curriculum to supplement their calls with you.

What you need

• Masters / PhD required in psychology related work.
• Licensed Counselors / Clinicians are preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in active practice.
• Proven track record of helping clients achieve their success/goals
• Hands-on experience with low-income / minority communities
• Experience working with individuals working through trauma, and trying to achieve their goals
• Must be comfortable on video recording
• Must have charisma and confidence in group settings
• Strong communication skills and experience handling conflict in a group setting
• Understanding of the pressure involved in making a career change

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
