Leech Industries is seeking a Punch Press – Stampings Operator to operate Metal Stamping Punch Presses between 25 and 125 tons. The position will report to the Stamping Department Supervisor and be part of a team of dedicated people that operate our metal stamping production line, producing high quality parts for our worldwide customers.

Job Key Activities and Performance Indicators:

The responsibilities of this position will include:

• Set up and operate punch presses
• Press Operators will be responsible for making sure their presses are working at full capacity, are stocked with needed materials,
• Operate punch presses in a manner that promotes safety and efficiency
• Load coils on feed reels via fork truck
• Set up punch presses by installing metal stamping dies, setting feed and stroke of press
• Install and remove dies and die inserts from stamping presses
• This job will require employee to be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Attention to detail
• Maintain a safe and clean environment
• Collaborate with other production teams, as appropriate, for support in meeting customer delivery commitments
• Responsible for working with team members to obtain a goal of 100% on time delivery performance with quality products and services for all our customers

This position will report to the Stamping department Supervisor and works closely with other Stamping team members and quality team to ensure that parts produced meet our rigorous customer quality requirements. Interacts with other Departments such as: maintenance, manufacturing, and material handling.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED
• Previous Die Maintenance experience desired but not required.
• Ability to run various machines such as surface grinder and vertical mill/lathe required

Skills and Competencies:

• Dependable and can-do attitude required.
• Ability to problem solve and work under pressure a plus
• Candidate must be comfortable working in an industrial environment
• Ability to work 1st shift 6am-2:30pm.
• Reliable transportation to be at work on schedule
