Your day.
As a Staffing Coordinator Lead, Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the coordination and tracking of clinical personnel placement for all clinical shifts in the Front Range care sites to ensure appropriate staffing levels for the safety of our patients and caregivers.
- Ensures caregivers provide high quality, efficient service to our care sites while following system guidelines and acting in the best interest of patient care.
- Review current staffing levels as compared to actual projected volume and staffing needs as predicted by care sites.
- Maintains relationships with all care sites to continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the staffing program and proactively assesses opportunity for increased efficiency in the process.
- Manage float pool caregiver daily deployments to all Front Range care sites.
- Track and update caregiver staffing changes (sick calls, on call/cancellation dates, & unit they were placed on).
- Manage all staffing office incoming communication via email, voicemails, or phone calls.
- Assist and support staff in responding to and problem-solving situations related to staffing and caregivers.
- Provide coaching, guidance, best-practices, and ensure equitable and balanced workloads across the Denver region.
- Works collaboratively with float pool managers, nursing operational coordinators, and contingent workforce coordinators with staffing and scheduling optimization.
- Overseeing all staff functions of the staffing office, provides direction, determines priorities, ensure proper process, and elevates larger performance concerns.
- Complete 1:1’s to ensure proper process and satisfaction.
- Responsible for ensuring coverage and communicating short-term coverage plans as needed.
- Develop and manage orientation schedules.
- Balances schedules to ensure adequate daily staffing coverage.
- Track and update staffing office attendance records.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations
- Prepare and submit reports on staffing incidents.
- Update databases as needed.
- Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Your experience.

- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- 1-2 years healthcare experience in an acute-care hospital setting required
- Minimum of 3 years of staffing experience required
- Associates degree, preferred
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Knowledge of Kronos scheduling system
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Teams
- Demonstrated knowledge of nursing/hospital staffing needs
