Gold Star Home Care is searching is seeking a full-time Staffing Coordinator, preferably with experience in a home care or health care setting. This position is a management-level position with key responsibilities of building timely, cost-effective, schedules that meet the needs of both caregivers and clients, resolving daily exceptions (callouts, cancellations, and changes), and verifying and finalizing hours. The Staffing Coordinator works with our Office Manager and Director to achieve key performance indicators, acting as the primary point of contact for both clients and caregivers to ensure the best of home care to our clients. The Staffing Coordinator is expected to perform a variety of duties in order to provide timely, quality service to clients.

  • Schedule shifts and hours by matching caregiver qualifications and availability to client needs and preferences, while maintaining consistency and minimizing overtime and canceled shifts.
  • Communicate new assignments, details, and/or schedule changes to caregivers and clients prior to the assigned shift.
  • Manage daily exceptions (callouts, cancellations, and changes) timely and efficiently and provide proper documentation to support efforts to control cancellations and lost hours.
  • Processes either manually or via computer, the data necessary to initiate accurate payroll and billing processes.
  • Participates in on-call rotation as assigned.
  • Participates in client care conferences as requested by Director.
  • May assist with the input, verification, and release of billing and payroll information, as well as the assembly of data for financial reporting purposes.
  • Documents all phone calls made to Caregivers and clients. Ensure Caregivers are following company policies and procedures, counsel them when needed.

  • Provides continuous follow-up with staff to ensure current availability and skills are known, updated, and documented in the system.
  • Communicates relevant and timely information to Caregivers, clients, and other appropriate staff members.
  • Professionally address concerns & resolve conflict/complaint with clients and caregivers.
  • Enforces and continually educates staff on company policy.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with internal and external team members. Manages phone/electronic communication effectively and efficiently.
  • Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED and one to two years related experience and/or training. Knowledge of scheduling in-home health care preferred. Proven Personal Attributes:

· Staffing experience a must. Stable work history in healthcare, staffing, home care, or a related field.

  • Advanced skills with MS Office/Office 365 and other computer systems. Technical aptitude to understand, learn and master business software(s).
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage stressful situations.
  • Provides excellent and professional customer service skills and a positive, patient, and friendly attitude.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and remain HIPAA compliant. Ability to establish highly productive and detailed organizational skills/habits.
  • Ability to actively listen and problem solve with cooperation, assertiveness, flexibility for positive outcomes. Possesses strong, professional written and oral communication skills for in-person, telephonic, and electronic use.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
