Job description
The Doctor's Choice Home Health Services is seeking an Intake Coordinator/ Staffer to join our Los Angeles office. The Intake Coordinator/ Staffer is responsible for the admission process for all new patients and ensures availability of reimbursement for services. They also identify the clinical staff adequate to deliver care for patients; and manages the scheduling of clinicians for all patient visits within prescribed discipline and visit frequency requirements.
Intake Coordinator/Staffer Responsibilities:
- Schedules care for clients in the home setting, including Field RNs, LVNs, and CHHAs
- Communicates effectively with employees for scheduling needs and client preferences/needs.
- Enters new patient records in the system ensuring accuracy of all patient demographic information.
- Performs eligibility/insurance verification
- Coordinates with the Clinical Supervisor, Billing Manager and clinical team to ensure required information is obtained for patient records
- Performs general office duties including but not limited to data entry, copying, faxing, scanning, sorting/distributing mail, providing reception and telephone service.
- Participates on an on call rotation
Intake Coordinator/ Staffer Qualification:
- High school Diploma, GED (Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent work experience)
- Superior multitasking ability
- Medical Terminology familiarity
- Attention to detail, time management skills, and problem-solving skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
