STAFF ACCOUNTANT Job at R E Garrison Trucking Inc
Job Summary – Assumes responsibility for preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing and some analyzing of financial statements.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required
Education: Four Year Degree in Accounting Required.
Experience:
Two - Three Years Prior experience in accounting required.
Knowledge of Trucking/Transportation industry preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Must be customer oriented, have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment. Must be proficient in Microsoft application, especially Excel.
Must work well in a team atmosphere.
Must be detail oriented and have basic analytical skills.
Be point of contact for all auditing and/or accounting needs.
Assumes Responsibility for Journal Entry Preparation
- Compile and analyze information for journal entries
- Create supporting documentation
- Enter information into computer system
- Verify accuracy of debits and credits
- Prepare various financial reports including financial statements
