The Staff Accountant position is new to our Accounting team to assist with ensuring recording and reporting accurate financials! You will be crucial in helping to make the Accounting team more effective with accounting functions and reporting as we continue to assist the programs, clients, and families that need our services.

- Record and reconcile bank accounts daily, assuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare journal entries and accruals.
- Complete monthly reconciliations for all assigned balance sheet accounts.
- Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes.
- Assemble segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP.
- Review monthly account variances versus prior reporting periods.
- Review and process expense reports through Nexonia.
- Work with the accounts payable department to oversee the unclaimed property process.
- Assist in 1099 reporting.
- New vendor applications and approvals.
- Participate in month-end close procedure planning and identify process improvements.
- Support internal and external audit requests for back-up and documentation.
- Assist other finance and accounting team members with ongoing activities and projects.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting or finance preferred.
- Professional experience in accounting, such as internship, bookkeeper, or staff role, preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- New grads and 0-1 years of experience are encouraged to apply
- Must work out of the Chandler, AZ headquarters.
