Job Summary

We are accepting applications for a Student Development Specialist. This is a full-time advising position within the five-year grant-funded Student Support Services TRIO program (currently in year three).
Job Duties:
- Advising and providing academic support to students exploring healthcare programs at ACTC as well as those planning to transfer to healthcare pathways after attending ACTC.
- Coordinating activities for the SSS program.
- Other grant related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
The position requires a bachelor’s degree preferably in social work/related area. A minimum of three years of experience in a service coordination capacity, and the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and faculty. The successful applicant will be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and work efficiently and autonomously without constant supervision. Computer skills are required with an emphasis on spreadsheets and database management. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in a program comparable to SSS, such as being a former SSS participant. The ideal candidate will have experience tutoring, mentoring, planning/creating and delivering student activities, and/or otherwise providing academic support to students pursuing health-care fields.
