Sr. Payroll Specialist Job at Eagle Rock Properties
Eagle Rock Properties is a privately held, fully integrated real estate operating company whose principals have over 20 years of experience in acquiring, financing, developing, leasing, managing, and disposing of real estate. Headquartered in NY, our company has over 200 real estate professionals currently operating roughly 8,000 apartments throughout Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Maryland and New Hampshire.
We are currently seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to work in our Human Resources Department. The position is to be based in our Plainview, NY office servicing about 20 different payroll accounts.
Job Responsibilities:
Payroll
- Interact with employees and department heads on payroll matters
- Process and analyze multi-state payroll and benefits accurately, timely, and efficiently in compliance with all federal, state, local, and regulatory requirements
- Manage employee tax elections, deduction and direct deposit changes
- Calculate payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, retroactive adjustments, leave pay)
- Process special payroll requirements such as employee leave pay, bonuses, overtime, taxable reimbursements, garnishments, gross ups, etc.
- Act as point of contact for payroll-related questions from employees and HR and resolve individual payroll issues
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
- Manage PTO balances and requests
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3+ years of Multi-State payroll
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management/Accounting or relevant work experience
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
- Troubleshooting issues and providing customer assistance
- Experience processing through iSolved or any other Payroll processing platform
- Ability to review data, strong background in data analytics
- Highly experienced in Excel
- Very organized, attention to detail and takes pride in their work
- Able to practice discretion and maintain confidential data
