OVERVIEW

As the Sr National Foodservice Account Executive, PFS & IMA, you will be responsible for leading our North American business with Performance Food Service (PFS), the third largest Foodservice Distributor in North America and Independent Marketing Alliance (IMA).

As the PFS lead, you will own the business results, the development of short- and long-term growth strategies, building multi-tiered relationships while driving alignment and execution with General Mills field sales teams that enable PFS to exceed expectations. Additionally, you will be developing strategy and driving growth through our partnership with IMA and their key strategic members including; PFS, Shamrock Foods, Nicholas & Co, and others.

As the Sr NAE, PFS/IMA, you will be responsible for exceeding both top and bottom-line growth expectations, while growing share, and helping PFS/IMA and General Mills exceed our mutual goals. This will be accomplished by establishing contracts that enable the activation of our growth strategies, along with the driving the execution of the plan in partnership with PFS, their key banners (Reinhart, Performance Food Service, Roma Foods, Merchants) and our field sales team.

To succeed this leader will need a passion for the business, the tenacity to dig deeper for solutions, an understanding of the North American marketplace and the agility to succeed no matter the barriers. This is a demanding, multi-faceted role that will take an extremely high level of commitment, attention to detail and ownership that will give the winning candidate who excels in the role a suite of tools that will help them at the next level.

This is a customer that continues to acquire, so the ability to coordinate, and integrate businesses effectively will also be a unique and key element to the role. The PFS/IMA, Sr NAE will collaborate closely with Marketing, Finance, Trade, Sales Communication & Analytics, and Field Sales to maximize the growth potential of PFS and our business.

This position will require 25% travel. Our preferred locations for someone to be based are Richmond, VA, Houston, TX and Minneapolis, MN. We are open to a remote eligible candidate within 60 miles of major hub airport in EST or CST.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver program, exceed growth of volume, share and profit.
  • Ensure the full utilization of the Trade budget to drive business.
  • Leverage all cross functional teams and tools including Category Management, Consumer Insights, Marketing, Trade, and Field Sales activation to drive growth staying within business guardrails.
  • Understand the current business via analysis of data, field gather insights, industry interaction and a keen understanding of, and ability to activate the key levers that will drive the business moving forward.
  • Serve as the lead for all aspects of PFS/IMA North America including contract strategies and negotiations.
  • Work in concert with peers, including the other Sr NAEs, both distribution and operator, and Zone Managers to ensure strong alignment and execution of business driving initiatives.
  • Lead beyond the business, creating and working in concert with others to drive total NAF short- and long-term growth.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7 years’ experience
  • Ability to work independently and lead a major account.
  • External relationship experience
  • US work authorization and must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • 10 years' experience preferred – with some interaction with PFS at the local or regional level.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic plans, activate and deliver results.
  • Deep working knowledge of trade investment and trade systems
  • Experience working with & influencing cross functional teams.
  • Project management expertise
  • Ability to create and leverage relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong business analytics with the ability to convert information into results.
