Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. has an opening for a Content Strategist to define content needs, set editorial strategy, and analyze results. The position is in the Insights & Education department of the Digital Channels, Education & Client Marketing Team.

What you are good at
Collaborating with Schwab experts, product marketing teams, and other business partners to understand desired client actions, formulating content plans, and working with internal and external writers to execute- Building out educational content for high-opportunity SEO topics, in alignment with the overall content strategy
- Using data and personas to further define a segmented, multichannel approach to content that meets marketing and business goals
- Leading user research to help guide the educational/editorial experience and content strategy
- Strategizing, writing, and editing content (articles, emails, CTAs, etc.) that engages, informs, drives action, and facilitates closer relationships with Schwab clients and prospects
- Developing and driving adoption of content governance guidelines, to ensure consistency and cohesiveness across all content
- Supervising and serving as the primary point of contact for third-party content creators
- Managing multiple content projects simultaneously to adhere to a firm release schedule while ensuring proper review/supervision from stakeholders
- Monitoring results, developing solutions, and evaluating adjustments to the content strategy
- Representing Insights & Education in cross-team meetings and strategy sessions
What you have
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong analytical skills to gather key business and user insights- A firm understanding of user experience and strong search engine optimization (SEO) skills
- Excellent editorial judgment, writing ability, and organizational skills
- Strong executive presence and the ability to persuade others
- A thorough understanding of investing and personal finance
- The ability to balance competing priorities for a diverse set of stakeholders
Requirements:
- Content strategy experience
- Experience writing or editing for a broad retail consumer audience
- SEO skills
- Project-management skills
- Writing and content strategy samples
- Editing test
- Ability to work both independently and as a strong contributor to a team
- /B.S. in English, journalism, economics, finance, or a related subject
- Must have prior or current Schwab marketing experience either as an associate or contractor
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries
- Understanding of Drupal or other content management system
- Knowledge of Adobe Analytics or other analytics platform
In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
