Splice Operator Job at Semperit
The Escalator Handrails In-House Splicers USA - will prepare and complete the fabrication of escalator handrails to complete all requirements of customer orders, including splicing and vulcanization.
This individual will provide finished and prepped handrails as required by customers, carefully adhering to measurements and other standards, ensuring a high level of quality and reliability that will be evident to our customers.
Main Responsibilities:
Perform slitting, measuring and cutting of Conveyor belts. Preparation and packaging of belts and other products/materials in order to meet customer requirements and orders
Perform shipping and receiving functions efficiently to ensure timely movement of goods
Locate and move product, material and equipement as requested in order to streamline workflow
Maintain and properly store inventory
Perform general maintenance tasks as requested
Maintain workflow schedule and priority designated by Sales and Customer Service
Ensure high quality and adherance to measurements and other standards
Assist with any other tasks as assigned
Follow all of Semperit's procedures, protocols and splice work instructions
High School Diploma preferred
2 years in a warehouse facility preferred
Mechanical aptitude
Preferred experience in hands-on work
Ability to read,write, and understand English
Ability to work as a team, and build a team environment
Ability to learn new skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Problem solving skills
